Do you only work with professionals?
No, I am happy working with both professionals and amateurs.
Do I have to be over 18 to book a photo shoot?
I am happy to shoot anyone under the age of 18. However, an age permission form must be completed prior to any shoot by a parent or guardian and ideally they should accompany you to the shoot.
Are you happy to travel?
I am happy to travel both locally, nationally and internationally provided that travel expenses are covered. I have a vehicle and portable studio equipment so your shoot can be anywhere you like. For long distances and international travel I ask that half of the travel costs are provided up front as a deposit and confirmation of the shoot.
Do you work with male models?Yes, I am happy shooting either sex.
I am comfortable working at any level although I do not have examples of my adult work on the website.
Yes, my rates are a guide and I am happy to discuss all budgets and concessions.
Do you shoot TFP or TFCD (Time for Prints/CD)
I do on occasion work for Time .
I do however, have a few terms: -
TFP/TFCD shoots are for everyone involved to gain something. If I feel that I will not gain anything from the project, I will politely decline. I am also more likely to say yes to experienced/professionals.For TFP/TFCD location shoots I ask that the location is found before contacting me, unless it is one of my locations.
For TFP/TFCD studio shoots, the hire fees MUST be shared by all parties. Everyone is going to benefit and work on the shoot, so everyone should pay equally.
For TFP I do not supply actual prints, just the full resolution files so you may obtain prints.
Where can we shoot?
I am happy working in both location and studio environments. I have a few locations available to shoot in: -
* My cottage, which has the spare bedroom, hallway and living room area free to shoot in. Wooden floors, cream walls with light yellow and wooden furniture/decorations. It is ideal for any casual styles. Situated in Rural Angus it is very central to most Scottish cities.
* I also have access to several outdoor locations.
* I have access to a City Centre Studio in Dundee. There is a cost implication with this. It is perfect for all public transport travel routes. It also has a large, shopping centre car park across the road for drivers.
* For location photography, it very much depends on what the shoot involves. If you want to shoot in a specific location please ask and Ill give you a yes, no or some options. If you have access to a location somewhere, even better. All I ask is it has enough natural light to shoot in or has power available so I can use my lighting kit.
Can we shoot at my home?
Yes, no problem
Yes I do and it is portable.
I am well networked with Make-Up Artists and will happily supply a professional Make-Up Artist at cost. Most of these can also assist with hair styling. I do however, know 1 or 2 hair and clothing stylists as well should they be needed, charged at cost. Like wise I know several Artists that would be available for mock up tattoo's and this can be arranged at cost.
How long after the shoot will it take for me to get the photographs?
I aim to get the photos done as soon as possible but please understand that editing takes time. I try and have the proof images online within a few days but the final edits can take up to 3 weeks, unless agreed otherwise prior to the shoot.
The answer here is both. I choose 1 or 2 that I would like to use in my portfolio and will forward these to you fully edited. You will also be able to choose a few for yourself.
Yes, although I ask that you limit the number you bring along as too many can be distracting. I also suggest they bring a book or music if the shoot is a long one! I try my best to get friends/chaperones involved but sadly there is only so much they can do.
I am happy to shoot provided the terms and conditions offered by the website/client are reasonable.
